History of early fear, boundary violations, shame, and chronic insecurity.
Presents with nervous system dysregulation, chronic pain, gut issues, inflammation, and difficulty slowing her mind.
Longstanding tendency toward hypervigilance, freeze, and overwhelm.
THE CHALLENGE
The client often feels unsafe in her body and life.
Her nervous system stays on high alert or collapses into shutdown.
Boundaries feel difficult to hold.
Her mind moves very fast and struggles to stay with one thing.
There is chronic physical pain, especially in knees, shoulders, throat, and joints.
Gut issues include lifelong constipation and inflammation.
Emotional themes include shame, betrayal, fear, anger held in the body, and difficulty trusting closeness.
Stress increases compulsive behaviors such as nail biting.
THE JOURNEY
Early sessions focused on safety and orientation.
Dreams revealed fear of losing control and others taking over her life.
Work addressed survival patterns rooted in early childhood freeze and helplessness.
Key memories included leaving home at 15, early responsibility, and chronic fear of insecurity.
Somatic work targeted vagal tone, immune signaling, pain networks, and gut regulation.
Repatterning emphasized times she felt strong, capable, safe, and self-directed.
Examples included traveling alone, physical training, and periods of confidence and embodiment.
As work progressed, deeper layers emerged.
These included prenatal shame, parental domination, sexual boundary violations, and repeated betrayal.
Chronic hypervigilance was linked to later shutdown and pain.
Attention networks and emotional regulation systems were rebalanced.
Physical symptoms fluctuated and then began to resolve.
Right knee pain improved and eventually resolved fully.
Allergies stabilized.
Energy improved.
Exercise became easier and more consistent.
She began waking up feeling more awake and connected to her body.
Later sessions addressed relational trauma and trust.
Old anger and fear stored in the body softened.
She began to feel more supported and less braced.
Even during illness and medical procedures, she showed increased resilience and confidence.
